MCS Environmental has completed various environmental
consulting and construction projects for Air Force bases
in the northwest. Bases served include Malmstrom, Fairchild,
and Mountain Home.
Water damage had occurred in half of a duplex located
in military family housing of Fairchild Air Force Base.
The result was severe mold growth in the interior and
exterior walls. MCS demolished the affected duplex and
remodeled the remaining half of the duplex for future
occupation. MCS capped utilities and abated all asbestos-containing
material, backfilled the foundation, and installed landscaping
to match existing conditions.
MCS was contracted by the 341st Contracting Squadron
to manage all site work and to construct a new Force
Protection Inspection Area building. Site work
included installation of utilities, curbs, gutters,
asphalt and landscaping. Inspection Area construction
included excavation and concrete work, installation
of prefab metal building and all interior and exterior
finish work. Early in the project, MCS redesigned the
building to accommodate a 12-inch gas pipeline that had
not been considered in the original design.
