MCS has provided services for the US Army Corps of
Engineers (USACE) throughout the Pacific Northwest.
We have completed numerous stand alone projects
in addition to several ID/IQs.
MCS effectively completed eight task orders totaling
$3.1 million. Primary activities included general construction,
heavy civil excavation, utility installation, paving,
demolition, concrete installation, renovation, new construction
of buildings, roofing, and painting. Task orders included
the construction of three fire warehouses, a large roofing
project of two historical military buildings, a remodel
of the Fire Sciences Laboratory, a biological decontamination
at the Libby Dam, and construction of two large parking
lots.

MCS successfully completed ten task orders totaling
$3 million under this ID/IQ. Projects included general
and specialty construction, asbestos abatement, lead-
based paint
abatement, underground storage tank (UST) removal, soil
characterization, soil remediation, radon mitigation,
and hazardous materials storage construction.
Major work activities included heavy civil excavation,
utility installation, paving, demolition, concrete installation,
renovation and new construction of buildings, roofing,
and painting.
MCS currently is working with USACE on this Hazardous,
Toxic, and Radiological Waste Programs and other Environmental
Programs in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Fort Vancouver Barracks Building Abatement, Vancouver, Washington - This project included historic preservation, asbestos and lead abatement, and PCB removal from the Red Cross Building (Building 636). |

Tongue Point Landfill Remedial Action Phase I and II, Astoria, Oregon - Services on this project included erosion control systems; installation of utility services; monitoring well abandonment; installation of passive Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids(LNAPL) recovery system; and design and construction of LNAPL collection and groundwater recharge systems housing. |

Demolition Associated with Battle Simulation Center and 41st Division Demolition, Fort Lewis, Washington
These projects included the deconstruction and removal of over 24 World War II-era buildings and included recovery of materials for reuse on base or for resale in local markets. Waste diversion on both projects exceeded 95%. The Battle Simulation Center project was awarded the 2007 White House Closing the Circle Award for Recycling (click on the thumbnail above-right for full story) in addition to the Recycling Project of the Year Award for the State of Washington. |

HOT Refueling Facility Decommissioning, Fort Lewis, Washington - MCS was responsible for purging, inerting and removal of the UST; hauling and disposal of the UST; and abandoning the piping system by excavation and removal. |
