MCS Environmental teamed with a group of design professionals
from local firms to design and construct a new, 2-story
7,600 sf facility at the Fire and Technology Center
campus in Missoula, Montana. The new building is used
to train US Forest Service personnel and to coordinate
resources for wildland firefighting in the Rocky Mountain
West. To fulfill project requirements, MCS

demolished and backfilled existing structure prior to construction and installed utility systems; |

coordinated with the owner on the connection of new up-to-date data, communications, security and back-up power systems to the existing systems on the campus; and |

designed, installed, and acquired permitting on two, 8-inch reduced-pressure principle, backflow preventors on the 10-inch water main serving the campus. |
MCS installed a 10,000 sf facility to house a laboratory, warehouse area, combustible storage,welding/wood shops,and office areas for the Missoula Fire Science
Lab. MCS also installed a new storm drain system and
constructed a 1-acre parking lot and improvements.
